Services

Pet Sitting services are provided for all types of domestic animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, tropical fish, and farm animals. An initial consultation appointment will be scheduled at no charge for prospective new pet sitting clients requesting service. This appointment generally takes 90 minutes to two hours. We prefer to take extra time to make sure the client is comfortable with our company and that we are a "right fit" for you. An ample amount of time is also taken to observe all animal behavior patterns in their home environment so that we are better able to ascertain when something is wrong with your pet during your absence. Any and all information related to the care of your home and pets including emergency contact numbers is meticulously noted in writing and kept in your client file. All information is kept confidential and maintained in the office in locked file cabinets. Two keys are required at the time of booking during this appointment to avoid an additional charge for key pickup. In order to facilitate efficient service, we offer long-term key storage. All client keys are secured in high security steel lock boxes with coded numbered key tags. For security purposes, no identifying information on location or name is kept with the keys, and the key codes are not kept in client files. This provides an added level of security as well. Our insurance policy provides complete re-key of a client house if any key is lost or stolen while in our custody.

Ming - well pampered Our minimum requirement for kitty visits is one visit per day. We strongly believe that cats must be seen every 24 hours, food bowls cleaned and refilled, litter boxes cleaned, and receive the love and attention to keep them happy and healthy. Our minimum requirement for doggie visits is two visits per day provided they have access to an outside area via a pet door. If your dog is an "inside only" dog, our minimum requirement is three visits per day including late night visits. Requiring an inside only dog to go twelve hours or more between potty breaks for an extended period of time will adversely affect the long term health of your pet, and subject them to urinary tract infections, stones, and other health problems. Dogs left inside for long periods usually do not drink adequate amounts of water and therefore can become dehydrated as well. For these reasons, we have chosen not to do twice daily visits for indoor only dogs.

We are the only in-home pet sitting service in Sonoma County that specializes in pets with medical needs offering in-home hospice care, and as such have specialized training in providing these services to you. And of course, we will care for your healthy pets as well! All of our sitters are trained in pet first aid as well as providing all of the in-home supportive care your pets needs, including feline and canine diabetes and in-home blood sugar testing. We also have the confidence, skills, and abilities to recognize when your pet is in distress or needs emergency veterinary care, and how to respond in a medical emergency. You can be assured that during your absence everything humanly possible will be done to provide the best and highest quality loving care for your furry family members.
