Shiloh has been promoted and is now the
"official" Canine Executive Officer (CEO) of Pyewacket's Purrfection LLC. Ming
has been promoted as well and she is now the "official" Chief Feline Officer (CFO). Both
Shiloh and Ming are currently in negotiations for pay raises.
I just knew the titles would go to their heads!

Shiloh was adopted in January of 2004 after Jake finally made his journey to the Rainbow Bridge, and immediately became
the ambassador for the business, meeting new clients at consultation meetings, doing a lot of smoozing, and of course
getting his daily dose of tummy rubs. He has been traveling with me since the age of 9 weeks and is my constant
companion riding contentedly in the front seat usually with his head in my lap.
At each stop, he guards
the car and happily watches me leave to go into
a client’s home and often to walk down
the street to exercise a new doggie. There is
a special kind of karma between us as he seems
to know that I will always be back shortly and
he just quietly relaxes or naps while I am gone.
For those of you who haven’t had the opportunity
to meet Shiloh in person, here is his story
in his own words. |
Hi! My name is Shiloh and I was adopted
by Lauren when I was 8 weeks old. Puppy
hood was a blast. I got to play with lots
of cool
toys and had many new experiences. Mom didn’t
get much sleep as I had to go out to potty
a lot during those first couple of months.
And even though I had lots of toys, my favorite
has always been the ball. Yet that doesn’t
mean I didn’t have fun with lots of
other new items as well like this big green
plastic thing.
|
Mom calls this thing a bucket. They are
so fun to play with. It rattles when I carry
it around and rolls all over the floor.
I can even put my head in the opening and
push it across the room. How about 101 things
to do with a bucket as a new game?
|
After I got acquainted with my new home,
Mom started introducing me to other doggies.
Sometimes they would come to my house and
sometimes I would ride in the care to visit
and play away from home. It really
didn’t seem to matter as I made lots
of new friends and had lots of wonderful
doggie play sessions. One of my best friends
is Bingo who is also pictured in
the testimonials section. Bingo and I met
when I was only 10 weeks old. He was my
first real friend. We have had many wonderful
play sessions since then. Bingo now lives
in Sacramento and I miss him a lot. Hey,
Bingo, I hope you are enjoying your new
digs.

Another pal of mine is Maya, a black and
white Corgy dog. She runs very fast because
of her short legs and we have great chase
games together. She also loves to romp,
roll, and wrestle with me in the grass.
|
Jasmine
is an Amstaff who loves to swim almost as
much as I do! She has a pool just like mine.
When I go to her house for play sessions,
we would run around her huge yard and then
race to the pool to cool off on hot summer
days. It was a blast. Sometimes with all
the splashing, our Moms would end up as
wet as Jasmine and me! And they didn’t
even get in the pool!
|
Growing up can be so much fun. One of the
things I like almost as much as chasing
the ball is playing in the water. I also
like to run through the sprinklers in the
back yard. I just don’t understand
though why Mom wouldn’t let me swim
in those bowls of water she would put down
for me in the house. Later on I did learn
that those bowls were for drinking and the
pool in the back yard was for swimming.
|
So
here I am in my pool cooling off on a very
hot summer day. I am so lucky to have my
own pool as I get very hot when I play out
in the sun. But mom takes very good care
of me making sure that I don’t overdo
it. She changes the water in the pool often
and keeps it very clean for me all summer
long. And on those balmy summer nights I
really like a quick dip when Mom takes me
out to go potty before bedtime. Ahh…nothing
like a
late night swim to soothe the soul ………
|
And of course, being the suave debonair
guy that I am, I should introduce you to
my girlfriend Carmen who loves to play and
romp as much as I do.
|

She is a very cute chocolate lab. Lauren
gets to take care of Carmen which is great
for us as we get to spend a lot of time
together. Carmen has a nice yard with grass
for us to play on. We love to wrestle together
until we are hot and tired. And friendship
is all about sharing—even the water
bucket.
|
Keeping up appearances takes lots of energy
and hard work. Sometimes I get so tired
I just have to crash. But I am never alone
as one of my best buds is Ming who lives
with me and we just love taking long afternoon
naps together (oops now I am supposed to call them staff meetings).

|
Of course I have to keep up my strength
as I am out riding in the car with Mom every
day while she takes care of her clients.
So if you see me sitting in the car, wave,
say hello, or toot your horn and I will
wave back.
